Graceful Giants - Did You Know?
Jaguars are the third largest big cat in the world, and only the lion (second largest) and the tiger (the largest) are heavier on average. They are, however, the largest cats found in the Americas, and can measure up to six feet in length. A jaguar’s tail can add another 2 feet to that length, although their tails are noticeably shorter than those of other big cats. The biggest male jaguars can weigh up to 250 pounds and some females can come close to 200 pounds, although 200 pounds for males and 150 pounds for females would be considered large for most regions.

Celebrate World Jaguar Day on April 10!
