Natural Swimmers - Did You Know?
Many felines, be they wild or of the household variety, tend to avoid water at all costs. But jaguars are quite comfortable in aquatic environments, regularly taking a plunge in rivers or streams to hunt for capybara and caiman and to travel to new forested areas. Since rivers often wind their way through South American jungles, they also provide jaguars with convenient paths to stalk their prey. And they enjoy playing in water as much as we do!

Celebrate World Jaguar Day on April 10!
